Capt. Joseph Prebor has over 30 years’ experience in the Marine Industry. A successful Captain with wide experience in the offshore supply industry, with special reference to platform maintenance vessel operation, Dive Support Vessel operation on Four Point Mooring Systems and Rig Supply Vessel operation. Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) Vessel Operation. Joseph has a working knowledge of Deep Sea Anchor Handling Operations with the PCC system etc. and also on towing operations. He holds an unlimited Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) license and has a wide experience in DP Vessels. He has a Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate staff and relate easily at all levels. Has a working knowledge of the International Safety Management (ISM) System, since 1995.

A Certified Lead Auditor on the combined ISO 9001::2000 and the ISM Code, Also Certified CSO. Trained in the UK. While in Tidewater worked in the Safety Department as Safety Port Captain - implementing and conducting Safety Management System (SMS), Vessel Internal Audits, Drug Testing in accordance with the Tidewater and US Coast Guard requirements. Has the capability at very short notice to relief any vessel captain in the Tidex Nigeria Limited vessel fleet. Working in a challenging position as Safety/Port Captain in Tidex Nigeria Limited a Tidewater Marine Inc. Company New Orleans and in the UK.

He worked as a Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager with Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Limited, An affiliate of the Bourbon Offshore Group from 2005 to 2009.

2009 – 2012 (Head of Marine, Shell Kidney Island Operations)

In 2009 served in SPDC as Head of Marine Shell Kidney Island Operations. His tenure saw a very efficient and effective service delivery system in the Marine Operations at the time. One very cardinal event was the removal of the wrecks that littered the KI environment at the time in collaboration with NPA and NIMASA.

2012 – 2016 (Principal Logistics Coordinator – Shell Well Engineering Operations)

This position he held until 2012 and moved on to Shell Well Engineering Operations as the Principal Logistics Coordinator. In this capacity Prebor was responsible for the inspection of all inshore locations, planning rig moves and taking charge of every rig move activity from start to when well is finally spudded for drilling to commence. This position he held until 2016.

2016 - Date

MSSL under his leadership has carried several projects which were successfully completed, including but not limited to Logistics Support (Marine/Security/Community) for Crude Oil Lifting from Opuama Field OML 40 for Elcrest/Eland, over 20 rig moves (offshore/inshore) for various clients, Salvage Operations, etc. Capt.
